The Vallée de Joux will host the cross-country skiing competitions from the 18th to the 22nd of January 2020.
Situated in the Jura Vaudois of Switzerland, the Vallée de Joux is known for its beautiful nature, its wide-open spaces and as a cradle of Nordic sport.
In winter, the snow gives a magical note to the Vallée de Joux and its stunningly preserved landscape. To really enjoy this winter beauty, cross-country skiing is the ideal leisure activity for the whole family. Slopes for all levels make up an area of 220kms, which makes the Vallée de Joux one of the largest cross-country skiing areas in Central Europe.
The cross-country skiing competitions will take place in the Vallée de Joux on the Grandes-Roches site at La Thomassette, above the village of Le Brassus. Young athletes will be competing in Ski cross, Sprints, Long Distance and Nordic Mixed Team in January at Lausanne 2020.
