Les Tuffes

Les Tuffes stadium will host ski jumping, Nordic combined and biathlon competitions on the 11th, 12th, 14th, 15th, 18th, 19th, 20th and 22nd of January 2020.

Nestled in the mountains of the French Jura, Les Rousses will welcome athletes and visitors to a natural and varied landscape of beautiful lakes and forests.

Only a few kilometres from the Swiss border, the French resort of Les Rousses offers amateur or experienced sportspeople different areas of skiing, hiking and cycling. In addition to sport, the local heritage manufacturing offers craftsmanship renown throughout the world for its quality.

Les Tuffes stadium, near the National Center for Nordic Skiing and Middle Mountain (Centre National de Ski Nordique et Moyenne Montagne (CNSNMM)), is a complete domain that provides training in various Nordic disciplines in both winter and summer. After three years of recent renovation works, the modernized installations meet the highest requirements of the four disciplines all on one site.

For the Lausanne 2020 Youth Olympic Games, Les Tuffes stadium will host ski jumping, Nordic combined and biathlon competitions.

Les Tuffes en Jeux!

The whole region will be full of open events, with no entry cost, for everyone during Lausanne 2020.

At Les Tuffes stadium, two areas will be dedicated to visitors which include discovery activities to Nordic disciplines and will be open throughout the duration of the competitions. Through fun workshops, visitors can learn cross-country skiing, biathlon, ski jumping and handi-ski. The zone for animation will allow visitors to discover innovative sport disciplines which include labyrinth orientation (on foot or snowshoeing), handball on snow, jungle run and avalanche victim detector (ARVA).

At the end of the day after the competitions, all the villages of the ski station of Les Rousses will host various activities which will include concerts and displays. Throughout the many exhibitions and initiations, the spectators can discover snow sports and crafts as well as the history of Olympism.
