The traditional Fête du Bois (Wood Festival) celebrates the Youth Olympic Games

Every year, several thousand primary school children in Lausanne parade through the streets of the Olympic Capital for the traditional Fête du Bois (Wood Festival, a procession that concludes the school year with a party atmosphere.

This year, the classes had two themes to choose from for their costumes: Earth to Earth (Lausanne Gardens 2019) or the Youth Olympic Games (Lausanne 2020). This magnificent multicoloured procession featured Olympic rings, Olympic torches, delegations from nations all over the world and even "mini Yodli", surrounding the real "Yodli", the mascot of the Winter Youth Olympic Games.
