The 2020 staff visits the Malley construction site

Wearing/Equipped with boots the Lausanne 2020 team had a unique opportunity to visit the “Malley Arena” construction site, the future multi-sports center in Prilly that will be built in two stages.

In the first step in 2019, three skating rinks, two covered and one exterior, with a capacity of 10,000 people, will be built. In 2022, two Olympic pools and a diving bassin, with a capacity of 1,000 people, will be opened to the general public. Other areas will accommodate ping pong and fencing, as well as an administrative and reception area measuring 15,000 m2.

It is an exceptional landscape for the young athletes 15 to 18 years old who will participate in the ice hockey, artistic skating and short track competitions in 2020.

More information is provided in a short film and on the Lausanne Région website.
