In January 2020, St. Moritz will host the bobsleigh, skeleton, luge and speed skating competitions of the upcoming Winter Youth Olympic Games. To discuss the preparations, a meeting was held on site, with Patrick Baumann, Chairman of Lausanne 2020 Philippe Leuba, Vaud State Councilor in charge of sports, Oscar Tosato, Municipal Councilor Lausanne also in charge of sports, both members of the Executive Committee of Lausanne 2020, Ian Logan, Managing Director of Lausanne 2020, Sigi Asprion, Trustee of St. Moritz and Martin Berthod, Director of Sports & Events at St. Moritz Tourism.

The visit made it possible to report on the excellent progress of the project, and to visit the various competition sites as well as the future Youth Olympic Village.

In parallel with the meeting was the bobsleigh World Cup on the "Olympia Bob Run St. Moritz-Celerina", the oldest bobsleigh track in the world and the only natural track still in service on which international competitions have been held. The best athletes fought one last time for qualification at the PyeongChang Olympic Games.
