First prize for EHL students

The renowned Ecole Hôtelière Lausanne (EHL) is one of the key institutional partners of Lausanne 2020.

In light of this partnership, a group of seven students worked full-time during two months, reflecting upon the theme Food & Beverage. They established an innovative solution in terms of nutrition for the 1,884 athletes and their support staff during the Games. This project based its work not only upon the two Youth Olympic Lausanne 2020 Villages, but also upon the eight competition venues.

On January 19, 2018, the closing ceremony of the EHL Student Business Projects took place, with its distribution of prizes. The aforementioned group was largely rewarded for its project by receiving the most prestigious prize during the ceremony, entitled “Learning”.

The Organizational Committee would like to congratulate the students for their excellent work and is looking forward to their continued collaboration with EHL. This synergy perfectly demonstrates their vision of organizing the Games for, by and with youth, in order to valorize regional competitions. Starting in April 2018, the second project with this famous school will address accommodations.
