Fifteen apprentices from ORIF support in the recruitment of volunteers for Lausanne 2020
Commonly known as the 'face' of the games, no Olympic event could take place without the thousands of volunteers that provide support to competitors, public and the media. On 23 June, Lausanne 2020 opened the application phase for volunteers to work at the Games. A total of 3000 volunteers will be recruited.
In order to select the most suitable candidates, Lausanne 2020 is benefiting from the support of fifteen apprentices from Orif*, an organisation specialised in vocational training. In addition to their vocational training and career advice services, Orif looks to create long term job opportunities for the people with whom they work.
During a period of a month and a half, the fifteen apprentices will be using their experience to assist the Organising Committee in the processing and assessment of the applications received for the volunteer roles. The support of the apprentices has been a valuable resource for Lausanne 2020, as well as providing the apprentices with a unique new work experience.
